This is a list of some of my favorite books that I believe will   be of
interest & assist you in your learning about the Chihuahua's  history,
care, breeding and showing.

1.
The Complete Chihuahua Encyclopedia; by Hilary Harmar
This book is out of print. This book is a great book if you can find a
copy of it.

2.
All About Dog Shows, A Visitors Guide ; by Sam Kohl
This is a great little book that explains the dog show for visitors or
newbies.

3.
Dogs And How To Breed Them; by Hilary Harmar
This book uses Chihuahua's in her topic of breeding.

4.
The Joy Of Breeding Your Own Show Dog; by Ann Seranne with
foreword by Julia Gasow
This book use to out of print but is now back in print due to the heavy
demand for this book. It is a great book.

5.
The Inheritance of Coat Color in Dogs; by Clarence C. Little, Sc.D.
This is heavy reading but if you want to know about this topic it is one
of the great ones on it. It is out of print.

6.
Skin Diseases of Dogs and Cats; A guide for Pet Owners and
Professionals
; by Dr. Steven A. Melman
This is a very through book on the subject BUT ... I feel it would have
been great if there were color pictures of the skin diseases. If you get
this book I would recommend trying to get color pictures of each topic
so you can see it as well as read about it. There should be some
pictures on the Internet that you can copy to add to this book.

7.
Dog Breeding; by E. Fitch Daglish
This is a very small book only about 76 pages long but I was surprised
that it was full of very good information.

8.
The Pill Book Guide to Medication For your Dog And Cat; by Kate
A.W. Roby, V.M.D. & Lenny Southam, D.V.M.
This is a really good book to look up medications that the Vet may
prescribe for your pet. It gives dosages and effects.

9.
Dog Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook; by James M. Giffin, M.d.
& Lisa D. Carlson, D.V.M.
This is one of the books I keep in easy reach. It is a great source of
help.
